A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE NEGOTIATED SALE OF LOTS
,B AND F, KADIAK ALASKA SUBDIVISION TO KANA HOUSING AUTH,(RITY.

WHEREAS, the KANA Housing Authority ir< governmental
entity established by the Alaska State Legislature to assist in
the construction of low cost housing, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Bor ugh Assembly wishes to
assist the KANA Housing Authority in cating low cost housing
units in the Kodiak vicinity to helpmeet the need for additional
living units for low income familifis, and
WHEREAS, the t:ANA Housing Authority has requested
ownership to Tracts B and E oANhe Kadiak Alaska Subdivision to
construct low cost housing units thereon, and

WHEREAS, Section ;[8.20.030 of the Kodiak Island Borough
Code of Ordinances provid for the negotiated disposal of borough
lands to governmental ag hcies and that KANA Housing Authority
,does meet this qualifittion,

2. he sale is conditioned on the signing of a cooperative
eement between the KANA Housing Authority and the Kodiak
Island Borough which provides for the construction of
utilities and roads to the site, elimination of unsafe
dwellings, special assessments and taxation.

3. If the total purchase price of $178,785.00 is not
tendered at the time of sale, a purchase contract pro-
viding for 10 percent down and 10 percent per year,
plus interest on the unpaid balance, will be executcd.
Interest is to be charged at 10.875 percent.
4. The conveyance will be in fee simple for the surface
rights owned by the Kodiak Island Borough.
