RESOLUTION NO. 79 -63 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY ADOPTING A HOUSE
NUMBERING SYSTEM FOR THE KODIAK URBAN AREA. (Planning and Zoning Commission)
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Borough Assembl,
in preparing the 1979 -80 work program established a series of priority Planning
projects which included development of a House Numbering plan for the Kodiak
Urban area. And;
WHEREAS, the Borough Administration in cooperation with the City
of Kodiak and the Glacier State Telephone Company have completed a house number
ing system for the Kodiak Urban Area. And;
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission on November 21, 1979,
following a public hearing recommended the Borough Assembly adopt the house
numbering system prepared by the administration. And;
WHEREAS, the Borough Assembly finds that implementation of this ,
the house numbering system will provide valuable assistance to local service
companys and expedite the delivery of emergency services to all residents of
the Kodiak Urban Area.
that the Assembly hereby adopts the Kodiak Urban Area House Numbering (Street
Addressing) plan map prepared by the Borough Administration in cooperation with
the City of Kodiak and the Glacier State Telephone Company as the official
House Numbering Plan for the Kodiak Urban Area. And;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Borough Assembly wishes to express their
appreciation for the cooperation and assistance provided by the Glacier State
Telephone Company for the hours of donated staff time in preparing and updating
the base map.
