� A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
i�RELATING TO THE CONDITIONS OF THE STATE HIGHWAYS.
WHEREAS, the dust conditions on the State Highways in
the metropolitan area of the Kodiak Island Borough creates
safety problems on dry days, and
WHEREAS, the dust in the air from the State Highways
creates a health hazard to the residents in and around the City
of Kodiak,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Kodiak Island
I Borough Assembly requests the Office of the Governor and
Commissioner of Highways to hold a public hearing on the road
dust problem on State Highways in Kodiak.
This hearing should address the extent of the safety
and health hazards and what solutions could alleviate the
situations caused by the dust.
We hope the hearing could be held in the month of
1 : : November, 1979. The Borough Assembly Chambers will be available
;,'for the hearing.
