KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
RESOLUTION NO. 79 -36 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AUTHORIZING
A POWER LINE EASEMENT ACROSS KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH OWNED LAND.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has received a request from the
K.E.A. requesting a power line easement on Kodiak Island Borough owned land.
And,
WHEREAS, this request was reviewed and approved by the Planning
and Zoning Commission on June 20, 1979, as set forth in Planning and Zoning
Commission Resolution No. R- 95 -05. And,
WHEREAS, the Assembly finds granting this easement will not effect
the future use and development of the lands involved. And,
WHEREAS, the Assembly finds granting this easement will be in the
best interests of the residents of the Borough as it will provide power dis-
tribution service to the Elderberry Heights Subdivision and the City of Kodiak
sewer lift station in said subdivision.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that this request for a power line easement is approved. And,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Borough Manager and Borough Lands
Management consultants are hereby authorized to prepair the necessary Right -
of -Way and easement agreements necessary to allow construction of the power
line.
