1978-67 Setting Forth The Policy Of The Kodiak Island Borough Making Surplus Land Available For Disposal For A Variety Of Uses Consistent With The Kodiak Island Borough Comprehensive Land Use Plan.A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY SETTING FORTH THE POLICY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH MAKING SURPLUS LAND AVAILABLE FOR DISPOSAL FOR A VARIETY OF USES CONSIS- TENT WITH THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN. KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RESOLUTION No. 78 - - WHEREAS the citizens of Kodiak Island Borough have requested that consideration be given by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly for establishment of a policy making surplus Borough lands available for a variety of uses in the private sector, broadly serving the community interest, and WHEREAS Kodiak Island Borough Assembly in deciding to make surplus lands available in answering the public's requests has set forth a policy to provide for consistency in the appli- cation of the applicable ordinances in carrying out disposal of surplus lands, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly will make surplus Borough lands available for disposal in accordance with the following policy: 1. Land acquired by the Kodiak Island Borough through land grants, acquisition or foreclosure shall first be considered for necessary Borough or other public needs. 2 Land surplus to the Kodiak Island Borough's foreseeable needs may be made available for disposal as provided in the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances. 3. Only those Kodiak Island Borough lands not clouded by unresolved native claims, as es- tablished by the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, will be offered for disposal. 4. A portion of the income from land sales, leases and /or other disposals may be reserved for Kodiak Island Borough capital improvement projects, including land survey and access road construction, as may be provided by ordinance. 5. Priority to perform land surveys and provide constructed access to Kodiak Island Borough land will be given to those lands having the greatest utility and meeting the needs for permanent residence and business sites. 6. Kodiak Island Borough land being offered for disposal shall meet the Borough subdivision code ordinance. ATTEST: 1 9 S " 7.
