RESOLUTION NUMBER 78 -35 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING THE RESULTS OF THE APRIL 18th SPECIAL
ELECTION FOR SERVICE DISTRICT NO. 1.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Law, the Kodiak Island Borough held
a Special Election in the Service District I of the Mill Bay-
- Monashka Service area, on April 18th, 1978, at which time the
following three (3) propositions were voted on:
PROPOSITION NO. 1
"Shall the Kodiak Island Borough exercise Sewer
Powers within Service District I of the Mill Bay -
Monashka Service Area including, but not limited
to, Powers to Construct, Maintain, Repair and
Replace Public Sewage Collection, Transmission,
Treatment and Disposal Systems and Facilities."
PROPOSITION NO. 2
"Shall the Kodiak Island Borough exercise Water
Service Powers within Service District I of the
Mill Bay - Monashka Service Area including, but
not limited to, Powers to Construct, Maintain,
Repair and Replace Public Water Production, Col -
lection, Storage, Treatment and Transmission
Systems and Facilities."
PROPOSITION NO. 3 •
"Shall the Kodiak Island Borough exercise Road
Powers within Service District I of the Mill Bay -
Monashka Service Area including, but not limited
to, Powers to Construct, Repair, Maintain and
Improve Public Roads."
WHEREAS, the returns of said election have been de-
livered to and canvassed by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island
Borough Assembly:
Section 1: That the Assembly finds and hereby ratifies
and declares the results of the Special Election held within the

That Proposition No. 1 received 101 YES votes and
;that there were 67 NO votes cast. Therefore, the Service
District I of the Mill Bay - Monashka Service Area shall
exercise Sewer Powers.
That Proposition No. 2 received 87 YES votes and
,that there were 79 NO votes cast. Therefore, the Service
District I of the Mill Bay - Monashka Service Area shall
exercise Water Powers.
That Proposition No. 3 received 94 YES votes and
that there were 72 NO votes cast. Therefore, the Service
District I of the Mill Bay - Monashka Service Area shall
exercise Road Powers.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly this 22nd day of April, 1978.
