RESOLUTION N0. 78 -33 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
DELEGATING APPROVAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR PRIVATELY CONSTRUCTED ROADS ON DEDICATED
PUBLIC RIGHTS -OF -WAY TO THE BOROUGH ADMINISTRATION THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF
PLANNING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, Title 29.23.010 of the Alaska Statutes provides that
the legislative power of borough is vested in the Assembly, and
WHEREAS, Section 29.23.070 of the Alaska Statutes provides that
the Assembly may establish departments and distribute administrative functions
among them, and
WHEREAS, the Assembly recognize that they meet only once a month
and that the public's needs must be met on a timely basis.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Assembly of the Kodiak
Island Borough that the Borough Assembly grant to the Borough administration
authority to approve privately constructed roads in platted public rights -of-
way.
