REQUESTING THE VACATION OF THE
BY THE STATE DIVISION OF LANDS
EACH SIDE OF THE SECTION LINES
SUBDIVISION.

RESOLUTION NUMBER 73 -27 -R
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
FIFTY -FOOT RIGHT -OF -WAY RESERVED
AND DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS ON
WITHIN THE NEWLY PROPOSED CHINIAK
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough is in the process
of preparing a subdivision in the Chiniak Area, and
WHEREAS, the Section Lines within this subdivision
have a fifty -foot right -of -way on each side of said lines, and
WHEREAS, said right -of -way should be vacated in order
to allow for sale of and development of the subdivision, and
WHEREAS additional land has been designated for
extension of the present highway,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Kodiak Island
Borough Assembly hereby requests that the fifty -foot right -of-
way on each side of the section line common to:
Section 31, T29S, R18W and Section 6, T30S, R18W
and between the Southwest 1/4 of Section 32 T29S, R18W
and the Northwest 1/4 of Section 5, T30S, R18W, and
Section line common to Sections 31 and 32 T29S, R18W,
and Section 5 and 6, T30S, R29W, Seward Meridian
be vacated and that said vacation be approved by Division of
Lands. Further the vacation of said right -of -way will be shown
on the subdivision plat as prepared by the Kodiak Island Borough.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 16th DAY OF AUGUST, 1973.
