RESOLUTION NUMBER 73 -7 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK
ISLAND BOROUGH DECLARING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY SURPLUS TO
THE BOROUGH'S NEEDS AND AUTHORIZING ITS SALE.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough is the owner of
Lot 6, Block 7, Leite Addition to the City of Kodiak, which
it acquired under and pursuant to a tax foreclosure, and
from which land it does not derive any revenue whatsoever,
and
WHEREAS the Borough has received a request from
EUGENIA STRIGGA for purchase of a five -foot strip in order
to clear the encroachment of her house, and from LARRY BENTLEY
in order to add an additional five -foot strip to his portion
of Lot 5 and from HENRY BRECKBERG as he is the owner of the
lot directly behind Lot 6 for purchase of the remaining
portion of Lot 6, and accordingly, the Borough has had the
same appraised, the same being valued at TWO THOUSAND FOUR
HUNDRED AND No /100ths ($2,400.00) DOLLARS, and this sum
having been offered as the reasonable purchase price of said
land by the above mentioned individuals, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island
Borough Assembly that the following- described tract of land
situated in the Kodiak Recording Precinct, Third Judicial
District, State of Alaska, touwit:
Lot 6, Block 7, Leite Addition to the City of Kodiak
Be and the same is hereby declared surplus to the needs of
the Borough and is not needed for or devoted to any public
use, the Borough Chairman is hereby authorized to sell the
same to EUGENIA STRIGGA, LARRY BENTLEY and HENRY BRECKBERG
for the appraised cost, plus the cost of taxes incurred as
though the lot were in private hands, and to execute a Deed

pursuant to this Resolution. It is further resolved that
such Deed shall provide for an access easement to the
South Portion of Lot 5 until such time as the easement is
no longer needed.
