RESOLUTION NUMBER 73 -5 - R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH PLANNING AND
ZONING COMMISSION APPROVING THE CITY'S PROPOSAL FOR THE
UPDATE OF THE OVERALL PLANNING FOR NEAR ISLAND.
WHEREAS, the City of Kodiak has received a
proposal for updating of the development plan for Near
Island, and
WHEREAS, said proposal has been presented for
approval by the firm of Tryck, Nyman & Hayes who prepared
the 1968 Comprehensive Plan for the Borough, and
WHEREAS, the City of Kodiak has an opportunity
to receive a grant for this update, and
WHEREAS, the growth of the City of Kodiak and
surrounding area would appear to make such an update
necessary for the planned growth and proper land use,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Kodiak Island
Borough Planning & Zoning Commission to approve the City's
application for the proposed updating grant.
