1972-41 Declaring Certain Real Property Surplus To The Borough's Needs And Authorizing It's Transfer And Conveyance To The City Of Kodiak.KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RESOLUTION NUMBER 72 -41 -R A RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH DECLARING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY SURPLUS TO THE BOROUGH'S NEEDS AND AUTHORIZING ITS TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE TO THE CITY OF KODIAK WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough is the owner of a tract of land within the Kodiak Island Borough described as: Beginning at WCMC1 U. S. Survey No. 1673; thence South 125.40 feet to MCI U. S. Survey No. 1673, said point being S 7 2 ° 57'30" E, 1004.24 feet from the true point of beginning; thence 1. S 60 ° 30'00" E, 180.00 feet; thence 2. N 7 2 ° 10'00" E, 355.00 feet; thence 3. N 23 ° 40'50" W, 360.00 feet; thence 4 . S 11 ° 33'30" W, 46.32 feet; thence 5. S 50 ° 52'30" W, 178.00 feet; thence 6. N 43 ° 30'00" W, 68.00 feet; thence 7. N 09 ° 00'00" W, 205.00 feet; thence 8. S 61 ° 15'20" W, 426.00 feet; thence 9. S 89 ° 22'40" E, 160.94 feet; thence 10. S 37 ° 15'10" E, 101.20 feet; thence 11. S 09 ° 58'50" E, 158.94 feet, more or less, to the true point of beginning, containing 4.10 acres, more or less, and WHEREAS, the City of Kodiak has submitted an application to the State of Alaska for a Tideland Lease for the purpose of constructing a seafood waste recovery and disposal plant on the property and adjacent property, which seafood waste disposal plant is necessary to the health and welfare of the community of City of Kodiak and the economy of the same, and WHEREAS, the Borough has had the same appraised, the same being valued at FOURTEEN THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY AND NO /100th DOLLARS, and the Borough having the authority under Chapter 6, Subchapter 3 of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances and Resolutions to transfer lands, or permit their use, to any State or Federal agency or political subdivision of the State, and WHEREAS, the transfer of this property to the City of Kodiak would be in the best interests of the public and community. Page One, RESOLUTION NO. 72 -41 -R NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly that the following described parcel of land situated in the Kodiak Recording Precinct, Third Judicial District,y State of Alaska, to -wit: Beginning at WCMC1 U. 5.
