ISLAND BOROUGH WAIVING TAXES FOR THE YEARS 1969 THROUGH 1971
FOR KATHERINE CHICHENOFF, A SENIOR CITIZEN
WHEREAS, MRS. KATHERINE CHICHENOFF is a Senior
Citizen of the Kodiak Island Borough, and as such received a
Senior Citizen's Tax Exemption in 1968, and through error
believed that it was not necessary to apply for this exemption
each year thereafter, has failed to apply for her Senior Citizen's
Tax Exemption for the years 1969, 1970 and 1971, and her property
is currently on the 1971 Foreclosure List for the 1969 taxes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by
the Borough Assembly, that Lots Fifteen (15) and Sixteen (16),
Block Six (6) of the Leite Addition, listed under the name of
KATHERINE CHICHENOFF, which appears on the 1971 Foreclosure List
for 1969 taxes, be and the same is removed and the 1969 taxes on
said property plus penalty and interest and foreclosure costs
totalling ONE HUNDRED NINETY - EIGHT and 29 /100ths ($198.29) DOLLARS
are hereby forgiven, as are the 1970 taxes plus penalty and
interest totalling THREE HUNDRED TWENTY -TWO and 72 /100ths
($322'.72) DOLLARS, and the 1971 taxes plus penalty and interest
totalling THREE HUNDRED THIRTY -SIX and 46/100ths ($336.46) DOLLARS
PASSED AND APPROVED this 4th day of May, 1972.
