HOUSE BILL
A 7 OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY OPPOSING
WHEREAS, Section 4 0.15 -070 charges the Borough with the
requirement of Planning and establishes a Planning Commission as
the Planning Authority and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission is charged with the proper
development and betterment of the Community as outlined in Title 29
of the Alaska Statutes and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission approves subdivisions and
multiple dwellings and
WHEREAS, the School Board is charged with operation of
schools and not planning and zoning,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Borough Assembly of the
Kodiak Island Borough that this body go on record as being opposed to
HOUSE BILL 741.
