A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
DECLARING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY SURPLUS TO THE BOROUGH'S NEEDS
AND AUTHORIZING A FIFTY -FIVE (55) YEAR LEASE OF THE SAME
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough is the owner of
the following described real property:
A portion of land in the Kodiak Island Borough,
State of Alaska, described as follows:
Beginning at a corner common to Tracts "L" and
"K" on the Easterly boundary of the Russian
Creek, Alaska Subdivision; thence S 67 ° 26'58" E,
700 feet more or less, to a point on the Westerly
R.O.W. of Cape Chiniak Road; thence in a
Northeasterly direction, 1,350 feet more or less,
along said R.O.W. to a point on the Westerly
boundary of Tract "H "; thence N 43 ° 16'13" W,
420.93 feet more or less, along said boundary
to the Northeast corner of Tract "i "; thence
S 22 °33'02" W, 1,500.00 feet along the Easterly
boundary of the Russian Creek, Alaska Subdivision
to the point of beginning, containing 15 acres,
more or less.
And from which land it is not now deriving any
WHEREAS, the Borough has received a request from
EUGENE BRASIE to lease said land for a period of fifty -five
(55) years for the purpose of development of a cocktail lounge,
steak house, ten -unit motel, and eleven (11) trailer pads, and
accordingly has had the same appraised and the same being
valued at EIGHT THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED SEVENTY -FIVE and No /100ths
($8,775.00) DOLLARS,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island
Borough Assembly that the following described tract of land
situated in the Kodiak Recording Precinct, Third Judicial
District, State of Alaska, to -wit:
A portion of land in the Kodiak Island Borough,
State of Alaska, described as follows:

Which the Borough has acquired through the land
selection process from the State of Alaska, be and the same is
hereby declared surplus to the Borough's needs, and the Borough
Chairman is hereby authorized to offer the same for lease by
public auction, in accordance with Ordinance No. 71 -21 -0.
