A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
REQUESTING THE REMOVAL OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM THE 1971 TAX
FORECLOSURE LIST
WHEREAS, there is presently shown on the Kodiak
Island Borough Foreclosure List for 1971 a Forestry Permit
under the name of DALMOND VALLEY, Box 606, Kodiak, Alaska, with
delinquent taxes for 1968 in the amount of THIRTY -ONE and
36 /100ths ($31.36) DOLLARS; delinquent taxes for 1969 in the
amount of TWENTY -FOUR and 66/100ths ($24.66) DOLLARS; penalty
and interest in the amount of SEVEN and 84 /100ths ($7.84)
DOLLARS, and
WHEREAS, Forestry Permits have not been issued for
the past seven (7) years according to the Forestry Department
and the Kodiak Island Borough has been taxing Mr. Valley since
1965 for land he does not have a lease on, and has not been
able to use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that all taxes for
the years 1965 through 1967 should be rebated to DALMOND VALLEY
and the error in the 1971 Tax Foreclosure List showing taxes
due for 1968 and 1969, plus penalty and interest, should be
corrected by the Court to conform to Law and the Kodiak Island
Borough Foreclosure List for 1971 be changed accordingly.
