A RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH ASSEMBLY OF THE
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH VACATING LOTS SIXTEEN (16), SEVENTEEN
(17), EIGHTEEN (18), BLOCK FIFTY -ONE (51) OF THE EAST
ADDITION TO THE TOWNSITE OF KODIAK AND REPLATTING THE SAME
INTO LOTS SIXTEEN A (16A) AND EIGHTEEN A (18A), BLOCK
FIFTY -ONE (51)
WHEREAS, DENNIS CESSNA has petitioned the Kodiak
Island Borough Planning and Zoning Commission and the Kodiak
Island Borough Assembly for the vacation of Lots Sixteen (16),
Seventeen (17), Eighteen (18) of Block Fifty -One (51) of the
East Addition to the Townsite of Kodiak and to replat the
same into Lots Sixteen A (16A) and Eighteen A (18A), Block
Fifty -One (51), and
WHEREAS, the basis for said Petition is that he
desires to sell a single - family dwelling now occupying
portions of two (2) of the lots, namely Sixteen (16) and a
portion of Seventeen (17), and he is incorporating said
lots so that the dwelling is located on the new Lot Sixteen A
(16A), and
WHEREAS, all persons interested were notified
that a public hearing would be held on said Petition on
Wednesday, June 23, 1971, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. in the
I District Courtroom, State Office Building, Kodiak, Alaska,
before the Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning
Commission, which public hearing was duly noticed and held,
a copy of the Affidavit of Publication having been filed
herein, and at which hearing the Planning and Zoning
Commission recommended that Lots Sixteen (16), Seventeen
(17) and Eighteen (18), Block Fifty -One (51) of the East
Addition to the Townsite of Kodiak be vacated and replatted

as Lots Sixteen A (16A) and Eighteen A (18A), Block
Fifty -One (51), East Addition, and the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly being fully advised in the premises;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Lots Sixteen
(16), Seventeen (17) and Eighteen (18), Block Fifty -One
(51), East Addition to the Townsite of Kodiak be and the
same are hereby vacated and replatted as Lots Sixteen A
(16A) and Eighteen A (18A), Block Fifty -One (51), East
Addition, in accordance with Sections 40.15.140 through
40.15.180, Alaska Statutes and in accordance with the
plat filed herein prepared by Roy A. Ecklund, Registered
Land Surveyor, dated July 23, 1971, entitled "Vacation of
Lots 16, 17, 18, Block 51 Replat to Lots 16A and 18A
Block 51 East Addition.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kodiak
Island Borough accept all easements dedicated to public
use as shown therein.
