RESOLUTION NUMBER 71 -18 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH ASSEMBLY OF THE
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH VACATING AND REPLATTING BLOCK
FORTY -SEVEN (47) OF THE EAST ADDITION
WHEREAS, DON ARNDT and RUSSELL WRIGHT have
petitioned the Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning
Commission and the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly for the
vacation and replat of Block Forty -Seven (47) of the East
Addition to the Townsite of Kodiak, and
WHEREAS, the basis for said Petition is that
Block Forty -Seven (47) consists of sixteen (16) lots
presently platted as lots which are 50 feet wide and 144.46
feet long and the Petitioners desire to change the shape of
these lots so that they are 100 feet wide and 72.23 feet
long, which replat will not change the square footage of
7,223 square feet, but will merely change the shape of the
lots, and
WHEREAS, all persons interested were notified
that a public hearing would be held on said Petition on
Wednesday, the 23rd day of June, 1971 at 7:30 o'clock p.m.
in the District Courtroom, State Office Building, Kodiak,
Ig Alaska, before the Kodiak Island Borough Planning and
1 ' Zoning Commission, which public hearing was duly noticed and
held, a copy of the Affidavit of Publication having been
1 i filed herein, and at which hearing the Planning and Zoning
:Commission recommended the above - described replatting of
IBlock Forty -Seven (47) of the East Addition, and the Kodiak
Island Borough Assembly being fully advised in the premises;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Block Forty-
Seven (47) of the East Addition to the Townsite of Kodiak

Addition Replat to Lots 1 thru 16 Block 47, East Addition ",
prepared by Roy A. Ecklund, Registered Land Surveyor and
dated July 26, 1971.
The same is hereby vacated and replatted in
accordance with Sections 40.15.140 through 40.15.180,
Alaska Statutes and in accordance with the plat filed herein.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island
Borough accept all easements dedicated for public purposes
as set forth in said plat.
