A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
AUTHORIZING THE BOROUGH CHAIRMAN TO CONVEY TO THE SMALL BUSINESS
ADMINISTRATION CERTAIN LANDS ACQUIRED BY THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
THROUGH TAX FORECLOSURE PROCEEDINGS, THE GRANTEE HAVING PAID ALL
DELINQUENT TAXES THEREON
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH on the 18th day of
December 1969 adopted Ordinance #69 -35 -0 which authorizes for the
disposal of tax foreclosed lands to the former record owner or
his successors or assigns when all liens and claims arising out
of an assessment for taxes have been paid and
WHEREAS, the SMALL EUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, an agency of
the United States Government, has through Civil Action #A- 100 -68
filed in the United States District Court for the District of
Alaska entitled United States of America, Plaintiff, versus
Lonnie B. Scrogeins, et al, acquired all of the Defendant's right,
title and interest in and to property described as:
Lot 6 of the re- subdivision of Lots 4,5 and 6 of
Block 5 of the Leite Addition to the City of Kodiak
according to the sub- division plat plan on file in
the Kodiak District Recorder, and
WHEREAS, the SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION has paid to the
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH the sum of TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED AND
NINETY TWO AND 70/100ths ($2,292.70) DOLLARS which represents all
taxes on said property from 1966 thru 1969 plus penalty, interest
and a proportionate share of the costs and attorney's fees incurred
by the Borough in the foreclosure proceedings.
NOW, THEREFORE, EE IT RESOLVED by the KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that pursuant to the Kodiak Island Borough Code of
Ordinances and Resolutions, the Borough Chairman, be and he is
hereby authorized to convey all cf the Borough's right, title and
interest in and to said property to the SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRAT3
