1970-06 Establishing Date For Board Of Equalization.KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
RESOLUTION NUMBER 70 -6 -R
WHEREAS, Chapter 3, Subchapter 1 of the Kodiak Island Borough
Code of Ordinances and REsolution provides for the assessment, levy and
collection of taxes in the Kodiak Island Borough and for equalization
hearings after notice that the assessment roll has been completed and
WHEREAS, the Borough Assessor has notified the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly that he has completed the 1970 tax roll and is in the process
of mailing the assessment notices and is prepared to publish the notice
that the assessment roll has been ou pleted and in such notice must state
when and where the equalization hearings will be held,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Equalization of
the Kodiak Island Borough shall assemble and meet for the purpose of
equalization hearings on Friday, May 1st, 1970, at 7 :30 P.M. in the
District Courtroom, State Office Building, Kodiak, Alaska, with Saturday,
May 2nd, 1970, at 7:30 P.M. as an alternate date in the event that more
than one (1) day is needed to complete the hearings of the Board of
Equalization, and that the Assessor shall cause notice that the assessment
rolls have been completed to be published in the Kodiak Mirror, a newspaper
of general circulation published in the Kodiak Island Borough, at least
once each week for two (2) successive weeks stating that the assessrent
rolls have been completed and stating when and where the Equalization
Hearings will be held.
