AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 17 ZONING CHAPTER 17.100
APPEALS TO THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH CODE OF ORDINANCES TO REFLECT THE ASSEMBLY
AS THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT FOR THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Kodiak felt the delegation of authority to act
as a Board of Adjustment to hear appeals affecting property within the City was not
in the best interests of the City of Kodiak or its residents; and
WHEREAS, the City repealed their Board of Adjustment procedures and notified the
Assembly they no longer accepted the delegation of authority to act as a Board of
Adjustment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:
Section 1: This ordinance is a general and permanent nature and shall become a
part of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances.
Section 2: Section 17.100.010 Organization of Title 17 Zoning Chapter 17.100
Appeals to the Board of Adjustment is hereby amended as follows:
17.100.010 Organization. The assembly is the board of adjustment
