AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 16 SUBDIVISION
CHAPTER 16.70 IMPROVEMENTS TO REFLECT AMENDMENTS TO SECTION
16.70.010C PREREQUISITES TO IMPROVEMENT CONSTRUCTION AND INSPECTION
WHEREAS, a petition was filed in the Office of the Borough Clerk requesting
language be added as part of Kodiak Island Borough Code 16.70.010C to allow a
professional engineer to conduct routine inspections of improvements to subdivisions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:
Section 1: This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature and shall be a part
of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances.
Section 2: Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances Title 16 Subdivision Chapter
16.70 Improvements Section 16.70.010C Prerequisites to improvement construction
and inspection be amended to add the following language:

The Kodiak Island Borough and responsible agencies reserve the right to inspect the
construction of improvements at any stage of construction to ensure compliance with
approved plans, including performance of a final inspection prior to accepting the
improvements as provided for in section 16.70.030.
