AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CERTAIN FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR
BOROUGH SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING THE AMOUNT OF SUCH FEES
TO BE ESTABLISHED BY RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 92 -06 established the fees of the Kodiak Island Borough;
and
WHEREAS, Kodiak Island Borough Code 3.04.065 ordains that the assembly may,
by resolution, raise or lower any service fee; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances book would be consistent
in fees being established by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:

This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature and shall become a
part of the Code of Ordinances.
Section 3.10.090 Dishonored checks of the Kodiak Island Borough Code
is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as follows:
The borough will charge a fee, established by resolution, for checks
returned for non - sufficient funds. This fee will in no way negate other
remedies available to the borough under other laws; e.g. felony
prosecution for a large check on a closed account.
Section 13.01.080 (B) Connection - -cost comoutation of the Kodiak
Island Borough Code is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as
follows:
Charges for turning on (or turning off) existing services shall be a fee
established by resolution or actual cost, whichever is greater.

Section 4: Section 15.04.070 Building permit fees of the Kodiak Island Borough
Code is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as follows:
The application for a permit under this section shall be accompanied by
any required fees established by resolution or motion of the assembly.
Section 5: Section 15.08.060 Permit fee schedule of the Kodiak Island Borough
Code is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as follows:
The schedule of fees, established by resolution, shall apply to all
electrical work for which a permit is required in accordance with this
chapter.
Section 6: Section 15.12.070 Permit fee schedule of the Kodiak Island Borough
Code is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as follows:
The schedule of fees, established by resolution, shall apply to all
plumbing work for which a permit is required in accordance with this
chapter.
Section 7: Section 15.26.030 (F) of the Kodiak Island Borough Code is hereby
repealed and reenacted to read as follows:
Application shall be accompanied by a payment, established by
resolution, if not in conjunction with a building permit application.
Section 8: Section 16.10.060 (A) Fees of the Kodiak Island Borough Code is hereby
repealed and reenacted to read as follows:
A. The assembly shall establish by resolution a schedule of fees to be
paid upon application for any of the following:
1. Abbreviated plat
2. Appeal
3. Preliminary Plat
4. Vacation or replat
5. Plan review, improvements
6. Inspections
Section 9: Section 17.04.010 Fees of the Kodiak Island Borough Code is hereby
repealed and reenacted to read as follows:

Section 10: Section 17.67.020 (B) Aoolication and fee of the Kodiak Island Borough
Code is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as follows:
ATTEST:
A part of the costs for maps, legal publications, notices to affected
property owners, and other administrative expenses involved in
processing land use change applications shall be covered by a fee,
established by resolution, payable to the Kodiak Island Borough. The
fees apply to the following:
A. Conditional use permit
B. Contract zoning
C. Exception
D. Variance
E. Zoning change
B. An application for a conditional use shall be filed with the department
on a form provided. The application for a conditional use permit shall be
accompanied by a filing fee, established by resolution, payable to the
Kodiak Island Borough.
Section 11: Section 18.20.060 (A) Aoolications of the Kodiak Island Borough Code
is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as follows:
A. Application for a disposal of borough land under this title shall be
filed with the community development department office. Only
applications completed in full and accompanied by a non - refundable fee,
established by resolution, will be accepted.
