AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING STATE MUNICIPAL GRANT FUNDS FOR
SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL SITE CONSTRUCTION AND DESIGN, CIVIL
AIR PATROL HANGAR COMPLETION AND BAYSIDE FIRE STATION EXPANSION
WHEREAS, The State of Alaska Department of Administration has awarded three
legislative municipal grants to the Kodiak Island Borough under
AS 37.05.315 - .325; and
WHEREAS, $200,000 has been awarded for the purpose of Solid Waste Disposal
Site Construction and Design by Grant No. 4/93 -037; and
WHEREAS, $50,000 has been awarded for the purpose of Civil Air Patrol hangar
completion by Grant No. 7/93 -062; and
WHEREAS, $150,000 has been awarded for Bayside Fire Station Expansion by Grant
No. 5/93 -041.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT:
Section 1: This ordinance is not of general application and shall not be codified.
Section 2:
The Kodiak Island Borough Assembly accepts the grant funds in the total
amount of $400,000 and directs staff to complete the necessary forms
and accounting to manage such funds.
