AN ORDINANCE HEALTH
FACILITIES ADVISORY BOARD POWERS AND DUTIES
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BORQUGH THAT:
Section 1: This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature and shall become a
part of the code of ordinances of the Kodiak Island Borough.
Section 2:
E. Serve as the local board with respect to the operations of the hospital
and ICF pursuant to the contractual agreement [ with a management comoanv
Affiefieel or other operating organization;

present to the assembly by March 15th of each year a forecast of their budget for the
succeeding fiscal [ea4efider-yeaF1 and a specific request for an assembly appropriation
if one is needed. The assembly will address the appropriation as a part of the annual
budget process.

each year their proposed budget, together with the Hospital Advisory Board's
recommendation, for the succeeding fiscal [eelendiefl year. This budget will reflect the
anticipated revenue and expenditures for the provision of quality health care in the

presented to the assembly for their approval prior to implementation.

Within the budget. a depreciation account will be established and funded on a monthly
basis, if funds are available. This fund will be used for the purpose of replacement of
health care facilities and equipment.
H. Upon adoption of the budget by the assembly, the hospital board will
monitor the implementation of the budget [+#s] provisions. All equipment purchases
shall be completed by the management company [;Beard] in accordance with Kodiak
Island Borough Code concerning purchasing,
