1991-23 Granting the City of Larsen Bay Power to Adopt and Enforce Regulations Protecting the Municipal Watershed Area Which Lies Outside the Territorial Limits of the City of Larsen BayWHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ORDINANCE NO. 91 -23 Fa Introduced by: Mayor Selby Requested Community Development Department Drafted by: Associate Planner Introduced: 09/05/91 Public Hearing: 09/19/91 Adopted: 09/19/91 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING THE CITY OF LARSEN BAY POWER TO ADOPT AND ENFORCE REGULATIONS PROTECTING THE MUNICIPAL WATERSHED AREA WHICH LIES OUTSIDE THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LARSEN BAY the City of Larsen Bay will regulate the use of City watershed by controlling access to and use of the land which might be detrimental to the water quality of the municipal water system, and; the municipal watershed lies outside the territorial limits of the City of Larsen Bay, and; under Alaska Statute 29.35.020 B, the Borough Assembly may, by ordinance, grant the City of Larsen Bay the right to adopt and enforce regulations for the protection of municipal water system. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH: Section I. This ordinance is not of general application and shall not be codified. Kodiak Island Borough, Alaska Ordinance No. 91 -23 Page 1 of 2 Section 3. This area comprises a total of 4,360 acres. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 19th DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1991. The City of Larsen Bay is granted the power to adopt and enforce regulations protecting that portion of the municipal water supply and watershed that lies outside the territorial limits of the City of Larsen Bay. These lands are generally described as: Township 31 South, Range 29 West, Seward Meridian (unsurveyed) 1. Section 4: SW 1/4 2. Section 5: W 1/2, SE 1/4, S 1/2, NE 1/4 3.
