AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 4, SERVICE AREA DESCRIPTIONS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH:
Section 1. This ordinance is of a permanent and general nature and shall become a
part of the code of ordinances.
Section 2. Chapter 4.30 is repealed.
Section 3. Title 4 is amended by adding a new chapter 4.50, Womens Bay Service
Area, to read:
4.50.010 Creation and Dowers. The Womens Bay service area is
established pursuant to Ordinance No. 75 -26 -0 and encompasses the area described
in that ordinance. Road construction and maintenance powers and fire protection shall
be provided in the Womens Bay service area.
4.50.020 Commission. The Womens Bay service area commission shall
consist of seven members.
Section 4. Title 4 is amended by adding a new chapter 4.60, Monashka Bay Road
Service Area, to read:
4.60.010 Monashka Bay road service area. The Monashka Bay Road
service area is established pursuant to Ordinance No. 82 -42 -0 and encompasses the
area described in that ordinance. Road construction and maintenance powers shall be
exercised in the Monashka Bay Road service area.
4.60.020 Commission. The Monashka Bay road service area commission
shall consist of five members.
Section 5. Title 4 is amended by adding a new chapter 4.70, Service District No. 1,
to read:

4.70.010 Creation and op wers. Service District No. 1 is established
pursuant to Ordinance No. 78 -06 -0 and encompasses the area described in that
ordinance. Sewer, water and road construction and maintenance powers shall be
provided in Service District No. 1.
4.70.020 Commission. The Service District No. 1 commission shall consist
of seven members.
Section 6. Title 4 is amended by adding a new chapter 4.80, Fire Protection Area
No. 1, to read:
4.80.010 Creation and powers. Fire protection area number one is
established pursuant to Ordinance No. 68 -23 -0 and encompasses the area described
in that ordinance. Fire protection services shall be provided in Fire Protection Area No. 1.
4.80.020 Commission. The fire protection area number one commission
shall consist of five members.
Section 7. Title 4 is amended by adding a new chapter 4.90, Bay View Road Service
Area, to read:
4 90.010 Creation and powers. Bay View road service area is established
pursuant to Ordinance No. 86 -32 -0 and encompasses the area described in that
ordinance. Road construction and maintenance powers shall be exercised in the Bay
View road service area.
4.90.020 Commission. The Bay View road service area commission shall
consist of five members.
Section 8. Title 4 is amended by adding a new chapter 4.100, Woodland Acres Street
Light Service Area, to read:
4.100.010 Creation and powers.. There is established pursuant to
Ordinance NO. 89 -30 -0 a service area within the borough designated the "Woodland
Acres Street Light Service Area" as shown on the corresponding map in the Clerk's
Office. The Woodland Acres Street Light area shall provide construction, operation and
maintenance of street lights on public streets within its boundaries.
4.100.020 Commission. The Woodland Acres Street Light Service Area
Commission shall consist of three members appointed by the borough assembly.
