AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING STATE MUNICIPAL GRANT FUNDS FOR
SELIEF LANE/VON SCHEELE WAY IMPROVEMENT AND LIGHTING,
AIR PATROL HANGAR CONSTRUCTION, ENGINEERING AND DESIGN,
EMERGENCY MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, AND HOSPITAL EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, The State of Alaska Department of Administration has awarded four
legislative municipal grants to the Kodiak Island Borough under AS
37.05.315, .316, .317, .318, .321, .325; and
WHEREAS, $75,000 has been awarded for the purpose of Selief Lane/Von Scheele
Way improvement and lighting by Grant No. 8/91 -076; and
WHEREAS, $60,000 has been awarded for the purpose of Civil Air Patrol hangar
construction, design and engineering by Grant No. 6/92 -014; and
WHEREAS, $5,000 has been awarded for the purchase of emergency medical
equipment by Grant No. 6/92 -012; and
WHEREAS, $50,000 has been awarded for the purchase of hospital equipment by Grant
No. 3/92 -009.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH:
Section 1: This ordinance is not of general application and shall not be codified.
Section 2: The Kodiak Island Borough Assembly accepts the grant funds in the total
amount of $190,000 and directs staff to complete the necessary forms and
accounting to manage such funds.
