1985-23 Amending Womens Bay Service AreaAN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AMENDING
SECTION 4.30.010 OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH CODE TO CHANGE THE NAME OF
THE BELLS FLATS - RUSSIAN CREEK SERVICE AREA TO WOMENS BAY SERVICE AREA.
WHEREAS, the Bells Flats- Russian Creek Road and Fire Service
District Advisory Board has voted to request that the name of the service
area be changed to Womens Bay Service Area, and
WHEREAS, the name change was presented to the residents of the
Service Area at the February meeting of the Womens Bay Community when
approximately fifty local residents were in attendance, and
WHEREAS, no objections were stated at that meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly that Section 4.30.010 of the Kodiak Island Borough Code shall be
amended as follows:

4.30.010 Womens Bay service area.
4.30.020 Monashka service area.
4.30.025 Monashka Bay Road service area.
4.30.030 Mill Bay - Island Lake - Spruce Cape service area.
4.30.031 Water service district number one.
4.30.035 Special service district within Mill Bay - Island Lake -
Spruce Cape service area.
4.30.040 Fire protection area number one.
4.30.010 Womens Bay service area. The Womens Bay service area is
established pursuant to Ordinance 75 -26 -0 and encompasses the area
described in that ordinance. Road services and fire protection shall be
provided in the Womens Bay service area.
AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon passage.
