AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH AMENDING
j TITLE 2 OF THE BOROUGH CODE OF ORDINANCES ON ELECTIONS.
(VOTING MACHINES)
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska has changed it's
method of voting on paper ballots to machine voting, and
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska has furnished the
Kodiak Island Borough voting precincts with the punches for
said machine voting as well as the Kodiak Island Borough
Clerk's Office with the equipment needed to count said
ballots,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, that the Kodiak
Island Borough Code of Ordinances be amended to add a new
section as follows:
2.04.085 Voting Machines. Voting machines may be
used in addition to or instead of paper ballots in any elec-
tion. The laws of the State of Alaska concerning voting
!I machines are incorporated in this chapter as if fully set
out herein, except for provisions conflicting with this
chapter. All necessary supplies for the assistance of
voters such as sample ballots shall be provided in the same
manner as where paper ballots are used.
