1985-13 Amending Title 15 Buildings and ConstructionSection 1. Chapter 15.04 is amended as follows:
Section 15.04.010 Adoption of building and other codes. Except as provided
elsewhere in this title the The Uniform Building Code, 1982 Edition, adopted by the
International Conference of Building Officials; the 1984 1983 National Electrical
Code; the 1982 Uniform Plumbing Code; the 1982 Uniform Mechanical Code; the
1982 Uniform Sign Code; the 1982 Uniform Code for Abatement of Dangerous
Buildings; the 1982 Uniform Fire Code )rife - Safety -cede; and the 1983 CABO One
and Two Family Dwelling Code are hereby adopted... (Ord. 84- 42 -0).
Section 15.04 -070 Table 3 -A Amended.
A. The fee schedule set forth in Table 3 -A of the Uniform Building Code is
hereby amended by the addition of a new sentence below the table to
read:
The building permit fee for buildings in occupancy groups M and R,
except those in group R, Division 1, shall be 7.532 cents per square

Section Z. Chapter 15.04 is amended by addition of the following section:
Section 15.04.130 Certificate of Occupancy.
A. It is unlawful to occupy or inhabit any building or structure for which a
certificate of occupancy has not been issued by the building official as
provided in this title.
B. The building official shall issue a certificate of occupancy upon completion
of each building or structure found to be in compliance with the terms of
this title and rules adopted hereby.
C. Falsification of a certificate of occupancy for a building or structure
not in conformity with such certificates shall be deemed a violation

Section 3. Section 15.24.015 Exception.
Article 78 Fireworks, of the 1982 Uniform Fire Code, is repealed.
Section 4. Chapter 15.28 is amended as follows:
Section 15.28.010 Bond of contractors for public buildings or work.
A. Except as otherwise provided in Section 15.28.020, before a construction
contract exceeding $2,000.00 $4 for the construction, alteration,
