AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RELATING TO REMOVAL OF
MEMBERS OF BOROUGH COMMISSIONS, BOARDS AND COMMITTEES.
The Kodiak Island Borough Assembly hereby ordains that:
ection 1: Section 2.10.020 of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances is
epealed and re- enacted as follows:
2.10.020 Appointment, Term, and Procedure of Commissions, Boards,
nd Committees. Commission, board, and committee members shall be appointed
y the borough mayor, subject to confirmation by the borough assembly, with
he exception of the personnel board and the citizen's board of equalization
hich are appointed by the assembly. Except as otherwise provided by law,
ach member of a borough commission, board, or committee serves at the pleasure
f the appointing authority, and may be removed by the appointing authority at
ny time, whether or not his term has expired, provided that, a member whose
ppointment requires assembly confirmation may be removed only with approval
f the assembly.
ection 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage
