KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
ORDINANCE NO. 84 -18 -0
AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY RESTRICTING
AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR A CAPITAL PROJECT.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 79- 28 -0(A), adopted on November 7, 1979, the
citizens elected to incur debt in the amount of $29,000,000 for various
schools and school - related projects; and
WHEREAS, one of those projects was specifically identified in the
aforementioned ordinance as a school maintenance shop; and
WHEREAS, the need for such facility continues to exist; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 84 -15 -0 (introduced on March 1, 1984), the
(final increment of $9,500,000 of authorized and unissued bonds may be approved
for issue for the Auditorium /Old Main Remodel Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that an amount of $500,000 be transferred from the General Fund to the Capital
Projects fund.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this $500,000 will be restricted in the
Capital Projects Fund for the possible future construction of the school
maintenance shop, with final determination of needs, plans, and specifications
to be determined by resolution at a future date.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that staff is authorized and directed to
effect the necessary line item changes within the limits established above by
fund and project to properly monitor, account, and report for these funds.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances found to be in conflict with
this ordinance are hereby explicitly rescinded.
