ORDINANCE NO. 84 -8 -0
AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AMENDING THE
PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO HOLIDAY LEAVE.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough employees presented a petition to
l the Personnel Advisory Board requesting that the Friday following Thanksgiving
!;be designated as a holiday instead of Alaska Day (October 18), and
1983
WHEREAS, the Personnel Board at their special meeting held December 12,
considered the petition and recommended denial of same, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly believes it to be in the
best interest of the Borough personnel to implement the petition requesting a
substitution in authorized holidays.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that Section 904 of the Personnel Rules and Regulations entitled "Holiday Leave "'
lbe amended to delete Alaska Day (October 18) and to substitute the Friday
following Thanksgiving Day as a recognized holiday.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of February , 1984 by
the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly.
