PUBLIC SITE AND OPEN SPACE DEDICATION REQUIREMENTS.
The Kodiak Island Borough Assembly Ordains that:
SECTION 1: Chapter 16.20 is hereby amended to include the addition of
ect on 6.20.090, entitled Public Site and Open Space Dedication
Requirement as follows:
16.20.090 Public Site and 0.en Space Dedication Req uirement.
A. purpose. It is the purpose and intent /of this section
to assure that adequate amounts of land are available o the public for
present and future public si tes a nd open space for re reational
opportunities and needs. To accomplish this purpose the Planning
Commission may require the dedication of land for p lic purposes or a
cash in lieu of land payment.

zoning classification of the property. The nymber of potential dwelling
units shall be determined by dividing the gr.ss lot area created by the
minimum lot area required per dwelling unit

D. Cash in Lieu 0 Land. If the Planning Commission
determines that a an. •ed ca on is undesirable because of topography,
shape, location or any other ircumstance, a cash donation in lieu of the
land dedication may be requited. Cash in lieu of land shall be in an
amount equivalent to a perc�eentage of the fair market value of the
subdivided land as determi,Aed by the Borough Assessor, based on the
following criteria:
