AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AMENDING Tait SICK.
LEAVE PROVISIONS OF THE BOROUGH PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS.
WHEREAS, the Borough Assembly finds that in many instance Borough
employees must out of necessity be absent from work due to the it ness of
their dependent children or spouse, and
WHEREAS, the Borough Assembly feels that offering employees the
using their sick leave in lieu of annual leave du to illness of
y welfare, and

dependent children or a spouse is in the interest of fami
WHEREAS, the Personnel Advisory Board during
April 11, 1983 has recommended the Personnel Policy b amended to allow
employees to take their allotted sick leave in the ase of illness of the
employee's dependent children or spouse.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
as follows:
Section 1: Section 910 of the Kodiak sland Borough Personnel
Regulations are hereby amended as fo ows:
"No sick leave will be granted un1 ss the supervising officer is
satisfied that the absent employe was sick, or dependent children
or spouse was sick and required e physical presence of the employee
in the interest of family welfa e."
