SECTION 13.01.100 PROVIDING FOR REDUCED UTILITY RATES FOR PROPERTIES OCCUPIED
BY SENIOR CITuw.:E 1S AS TENANTS.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly approved Ordinance
83 -1 -0 providing for the owners of properties such as mobile home parks and
apartment houses to receive the billings rot all services; and
WHEREAS, Senior Citizens would no longer qualif fur reduced rates
under the provisions of 13.01.140.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
that the Kodiak Island Borough Code is amended as follows:
Section 1. Section 13.01.100B(1) is amended by addition of the following:
(a) Upon presentation of satisfactory evidence by the owner, or hfs
agent, to the Borough Cashier that Senior Citizens actually reside on the
property, the account will be adjusted to charge Senior Citizen rates for
those dwelling units which would normally qualify under the provisions of
13.01.140.
(b) The owner, or his agent, shall immediately notify the Borough
Cashier when a Senior Citizen vacates the property.
(c) A copy of these provisions shall be provided to the owner, or his
agent, at the time of qualification for the reduced Senior Citizen rate.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage.
