AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, KODIAK, ALASKA, ESTABLISHING
CHAPTER 2.21, BOROUGH CLERK, OF TITLE 2 OF THE KODIAK ISLAND CODE OF ORDINANCES.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly hereby ordains that
Chapter 2.21, Borough Clerk, is hereby established and enacted to read as follow?:

Borough Clerk
Duties
2.21.010 Borough Clerk. The Borough Clerk shall be appointed by the
Borough Assembly and serves at their pleasure.
2.21.020 Duties. The following are some of the duties performed by the
Borough Clerk according to this Chapter of the Borough Code of Ordinances and
the Alaska State Statute 29.23.380.
A. Give notice of the time and place of meetings.
B. Attend Regular and Special meetings of the Borough Assembly and
record and maintain the minutes of these meetings.
C. Arrange publication of notices and all other items in accordance
with the Borough Code and State Statutes.
D. Maintain and make available for public inspection all records, files,
ordinances, resolutions, rules, regulations and any other information
according to local, state and federal law.
E. Attest deeds and other documents as needed.
F. Chief Administrator of Borough Elections and has full responsibility
for all phases of the Borough elections up to and including
preparation of the final results to be submitted to the Borough
Assembly for election certification.
G. Perform other duties as specified in other sections of this Code and
Alaska State Statute Title 29 or as prescribed by the Mayor or Assembly.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage and adoption.!
