AN ORDINANCE REVISING CHAPTER 2.26, PLANNING DEPARTMENT, OF THE
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH CODE.
The Kodiak Island Borough Assembly Hereby Ordains:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 2.26, Planning Department, is hereby repealed and
reenacted to read as follows:

2.26.010 Organization There is created a borough department-of
p3aRn4Rg -and community development depa rt_ ment. The principal officer of the
p3ann4mg department shall be a director appointed by the manager.
2.26.020 Powers and duties. The p}ann4ng department shall assist
the planning and�ns commission, serve as staff support to the commission,
and provide associated services as directed by the manager, which may include,
but not be limited to, the following:
A. Provisions of administrative, investigative, research and similar
services to the planning and zonin commission, coastal zone mans ement advisor

and assemb y related to capital improvements, p4att4ng, zoning, transportation,)

including coordination with other governmental agencies in the development of
