1979-41 Amending the Sick Leave Provisions of the Borough Personnel Rules and RegulationsAN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY AMENDING THE
SICK LEAVE PROVISIONS OF THE BOROUGH PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS.
WHEREAS, the Borough Assembly finds that in many instances Borough
'employees must out of necessity be absent from work due to the illness of their
spouse or dependent children. And;
WHEREAS, the Personnel Advisory Board during their regular meeting
held on November 8, 1979, has recommended the Personnel Policy be amended to
allow employess to take sick leave in the case of illness of the employee's
!spouse or dependent children.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly
as

Section 1: The Kodiak Island Borough Personnel regulations are hereby
amended by the following statement to be added to the end of the
fourth sentence in section 910 on page 49.

(husband A w e, son, or daughter) was sick."
This sentence would then read:
"No si eave will be granted unless the supervising
satisfied that the employee was actually
sick [.] , or a member of the employee's immediate
family (husband, wife, son, or daughter) was sick."
