ORDINANCE NO. 79 -34 -EO
AN ORDINANCE DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF
63,674.00 FOR SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION AT OUZINKIE.
WHEREAS, the funds currently available for construction of a
school at Ouzinkie are $63,674.00 less than the amount of the low bid for this
p roject, with alternates 2, 3 & 4 and,
WHEREAS, failure to provide funds sufficient to accept the cur -
rent low bid for this project within 30 days of bid opening would result in loss
pf the low bid, and,
WHEREAS, in this event, there would be substantial loss to the
people of Kodiak in terms of increased future construction costs, and inadequacy
Df school facilities at Ouzinkie, and,
WHEREAS, the Assembly finds an emergency exists.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly ordains:
The sum of $63, 674.00 is appropriated from the general fund to
the Capital Improvement Budget for the Ouzinkie School Project, State Project
No. H03003.
