1979-31 Amending the Comprehensive Land Use Plan" 75 7 C " 7 KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ORDINANCE NO. 79 -31 -0 AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE p USE PLAN. (Koniag Inc.) on WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly finds that the Shannon pojnt property interiumly conveyed to the Koniag Regional Native Corporation has previously been excluded from the Boroughs jurisdiction due to its military re- servation status. that: u NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly Section 1. The Comprehensive Land Use Plan is hereby amended to classify the property described in Section 2 of this ordinance for Industrial use. Section 2. The Koniag Regional Native Corporation has received an interium conveyence for property previously a part of the U.S. Coast Guard Support Center, Kodiak, containing approximately 46 acres± described as follows: Seward Meridian, Alaska (Unsurveyed) That portion of U.S. Survey 2539 more particularly located within (protracted) T28S, R2OW, Secs. 21, 22, & 28, and described as follows: Beginning at a point at the line of mean high tide on the southerly shore of Womens Bay NORTH of the USGS triangulation station "CHRIS "; thence wester- ly and northerly, along the line of mean high tide of Womens Bay, to a point at the mean high tide on the northwesterly shore of Womens Bay, near the most northerly end of the old shipyard, located northeasterly of USGS triangulation stati "SHANNON ", the true point of beginning; thence N. 38 30' W. approximately 500 feet to a point on a boundary of PLO 5566 described as bearing S. 51° 30' W.; thence S. 51 30'W. approximately 1500 feet to a point; thence S. 38 30' E., approximately 125 feet to a point, which is N. 38 30' W., 300 feet distant from the centerline of the Chiniak Road, thence southwest- erly, along the line which is 300 feet from and parallel to, the centerline of the Chiniak Road a distance of 3100 feet to a point; thence S. 45° E., 400 feet more or less to the mean high tide line of Womens Bay; thence along said mean high tide line in a northeasterly direction to the true point of be- ginning.
