AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY APPROPRI-
ATING AND DESIGNATING FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS RECEIVED UNDER
TITLE I OF THE STATE AND LOCAL FISCAL ASSISTANCE ACT OF 1972,
PUBLIC LAW 92 -512 AS AMENDED.
W HEREAS, Title I of the State and Local Fiscal Assistance Act
of 1972, Public Law 92 -512 as amended, established a trust fund on .
the books of the treasury of the United States known as State and
Local Government Fiscal Assistance Trust Fund; and
WHEREAS, payments are authorized to be made to each unit of
local government based in part on data furnished by the Borough
census and by State agencies and verified by recipients; and
WHEREAS, sections of PL 92 -512 as amended through October
13th, 1976, relating to accounting, auditing and financial trans-
actions of revenue sharing recipients establish the requirement
that local governments use their entitlements for specified cate-
gories of expenditure including requirements for preparing budgets
holding public meetings to discuss uses of revenue sharing funds
and publishing notices of these meetings in accordance with the
act; and
WHEREAS, Kodiak Island Borough has received an amount of
Seventy -Five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00) in fiscal year 1977 -78
to be utilized in programs designated as follows:
Attorneys Fees - Code 141.01 $75,000.00
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly does hereby appropriate and designate.Local Government
Fiscal Assistance Funds in the amount of Seventy -Five Thousand
Dollars ($75,000.00) for the provision of services identified in
the above referenced budget code.
