ORDINANCE NUMBER 77 -24 -0
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS WITHIN TITLE 15 OF THE
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH CODE OF ORDINANCES AND ADDING A NEW SUBSECTION
15.28.010.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly finds it necessary to
amend certain sub - sections within Title 15 of the Kodiak Island Borough Code
, o f Ordinances in order to provide more efficient administration and reduce
conflict.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly hereby ordains,
SECTION 1.
Section 15.04.050 is hereby amended by deletion of the
words ("Building Official ") in the first sentence and
substitution of the words "Planning Director" and
deletion of the words ('Borough Office ") in the fourth
line and substitution of the words "Borough Treasurer"
This Section would then read,
Section 15.04.050 Enforcement authority. The Planning
Director shall have the power and duty to enforce the
provisions of this title, and Titles 16 and 17, and
all fees provided herein shall be paid to the Borough
Treasurer. All permits shall be issued by the building
official.
Section 15.04.070 is hereby amended in the second
sentence by deletion of the words ('Borough Chairman ")
and substitution of the words "The Planning Director,
the Borough Manager ".
This Section would then read,
15.04.070 Stop order— Violation — Revocation. It is
unlawful to do or perform any work in violation of
such stop order, except as may be necessary to prevent
injury or damage to persons or property. Such stop
order may be revoked by the building official, the
Planning Director, Borough Manager, or the Borough
Assembly.
Title 15 is hereby amended by addition of a new sub-
section 15.28.010 Titled "Construction Standards for
Mobile Homes ".
This Section would then read,
15.28.010, Mobile Home Construction Standards.
Any Nbbile Home intended to be placed on lands within
the Kodiak Island Borough must conform to the following
construction standards,
A. Nbbile Homes constructed after June 15, 1976, mist
conform to the standards set forth in the Code of
Federal Regulations Title 24, Chapter 2, Part 280.

B. Mobile Homes constructed between September 1971,
and June 15, 1976, if altered or relocated within
the Borough, must be brought up to the standards
set forward as Alaska Statutes Title 45, Sub-
section 45.30.
C. Mobile Homes constructed prior to September 1971,
if altered or relocated within the Borough must
be brought up to the standards set forth in Title
15.28.010(B).
