ORDINANCE NO. 77 - -
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO VOTES CAST IN
AT -LARGE ELECTIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Assembly of the Kodiak Island
Borough as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 4 of Title 2 of the Kodiak Island
Borough Code of Ordinances is hereby amended by adding a new
section 185 to read:
2.04.185 At -Large Vote Tally Formula. If the
number of votes cast for each seat in an at -large election
to fill more than one similar undesignated seat cannot be
ascertained, the determination of whether a candidate has
received in excess of forty percent of the votes cast shall
be made by dividing the total number of votes cast for all
candidates for similar at -large seats by the number of seats
for that office on the ballot and multiplying that dividend
by the forty percent.
