AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
REZONING USS 444, TRACT "C" TO BE DESIGNATED BUSINESS (St.
Herman's Pastoral School)
WHEREAS, Alaska Statutes 29.33.090 empowers the Borough
to enact a Zoning Ordinance and provide for its administration,
enforcement and amendments, and,
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has pursuant thereto
adopted Title 17, of its Code of Ordinances and Resolutions which
provides for planning and zoning provisions and procedures, and,
WHEREAS, according to the Comprehensive Planning and
Zoning Map adopted by the Kodiak Island Borough, that USS 444,
Tract "C" has been zoned R -3, and,
WHEREAS, a petition has been received from St. Herman's
Pastoral School requesting the same be rezoned from R -3 to Busi-
ness to conform with the zoning of other business properties on
Mission Road, and,
WHEREAS, the Petition was considered and approved by the
Planning and Zoning Commission on January 19, 1977 and said body
has recommended the reclassification of said property from R -3
to Business,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Assembly
of the Kodiak Island Borough that the property described as USS
444, Tract "C" be and the same are hereby reclassified as Business
and that notice of this ordinance be given by publication to the
Kodiak Mirror, seven (7) days prior to the public hearing held on
February 3, 1977, that this ordinance become effective at the
time of adoption.
