AIS ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH REZONING
E LEITE ADDITION, BLOCKS FIVE (5) THROUGH EIGHT (8), FROM
1 TO R -3; WITH THE EXCLUSION OF LOTS 1, 2, 25, AND 26, OF
OCK 7, LEITE ADDITION.
WHEREAS, AS 29.33.090 empowers the Borough to enact
ning ordinances and provide for their administration,
forcement and amendment, and
WHERE, the Kodiak Island Borough pursuant thereto
Dpted Chapter Five of its Code of Ordinances and Resolutions
ich provides for planning and zoning provisions and procedures,
II WHEREAS, according to the Comprehensive Planning and
(Zoning Map adopted by the Kodiak Island Borough; Leite Addition,

locks Five through Eight have been classified as R -1, and

WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has
;reviewed the zoning and planned growth of the community and
.they feel that this area is the most logical one for the

WHEREAS, a public hearing was held thereon on the
119th day of September, 1973, and after said public hearing the
lanninq and Zoning Commission has recommended the reclasB.ifica-
Ition of said property to R -3 and there were no objections
1 voiced at the public hearing, and it having been determined that
e public necessity, convenience and good zoning practice
equires such recalssification,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough
sembly of the Kodiak Island Borough that the property known
d described as Leite Addition, Blocks (5) Five through (8)
Eight, with the exclusion of Lots 1, 2, 25 and 26 of Block 7,
Bite Addition, now classified as R -1 be and the same is hereby
eclassified as R -3 and that notice of this Ordinance be given
Y publication in the Kodiak Mirror seven (7) days prior to
e second reading and that this Ordinance become effective
n the expiration of thirty (30) days after its adoption.
