AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
l REZONING LOT 31A, BLOCK 1 OF THE AIRPARK SUBDIVISION FROM
UNCLASSIFIED TO BUSINESS.
WHEREAS, ALASKA STATUTES 29.33.090 empowers the
;I Borough to enact a Zoning Ordinance and provide for its
administration, enforcement and amendment, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has pursuant thereto
adopted Chapter 5 of its Code of Ordinances and Resolutions,
(which provides for planning and zoning provisions and procedures

and

WHEREAS, according to the Comprehensive Planning and
Zoning Map adopted by the Kodiak Island Borough, Lot 31A,
Block 1, Airpark Subdivision, has been zoned UNCLASSIFIED, and
i WHEREAS, a Petition has been received from ARGO CORP/
i
BARANOF CORP., stating that they are the owners of Lot 31 A,
Block 1, Airpark Subdivision and requesting same be rezoned
;I from Unclassified to Business, and
WHEREAS, the Petition was considered and approved by
the Planning and Zoning Commission on the 11th day of July, 1973,

after a public hearing was held thereon and said body has

recommended the reclassification of said property to business
and there were no objections voiced at the public hearing held
I
by the Planning and Zoning Commission, and it having been f
determined that the public necessity, convenience and good zoning
practice require such reclassification,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Afisembly
iof the Kodiak Island Borough that the property known as:
J Lot 31A, Block 1, Airpark Subdivision

Be and the same is hereby reclassified as BUSINESS
and that notice of this Ordinance be given by publication in
the KODIAK MIRROR seven (7) days prior to the second reading
and that public hearing be held thereon the date of the
second reading and that this Ordinance become effective at the
expiration of thirty (30) days after its adoption.
