ORDINANCE NUMBER 73 -18 -0
AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
RECOGNIZING A SURPLUS IN THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH SCHOOL
DISTRICT BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1972/73 AND AUTHORIZING
THE CARRY -OVER OF SAID SURPLUS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1973/74
TO BE USED FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS AND OPERATIONS EXPENSE.
WHEREAS, the School Board of the Kodiak Island Borough
School District has advised the Borough Assembly that a
surplus does exist principally from late receipt of Federal
and State monies, and
WHEREAS, by Board action of May 2, 1973, it is the
desire of the School Board to carry forward these monies
as a Restricted Surplus for Capital Projects, specifically
for the Main School Renovation and other specific operational
expenses, and
WHEREAS, the School Board has requested authorization
for such action, and said request having been reviewed by the
Borough Assembly and deemed to be in the best interest of
the Community,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, that the sum of
ONE HUNDRED FIFTY -THREE THOUSAND AND NINETY -EIGHT ($153,098.00)
DOLLARS be and the same is hereby authorized for the following
expenditures in the School District 1973/74 Fiscal Budget.
