REZONING AAPORTION OFEUOFSTHSURVEY673 P1,JD U�RSUGH ASSEMBLY
:'WHICH LIES SEAWARD OF THE ROAD, SURVEY 2539
WHEREAS, ALASKA STATUTES 29.33.090 empowers the
;:Borough to enact a Zoning Ordinance and provide for its
administration, enforcement and amendment, and
I
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has pursuant thereto
;iadopted Chapter 5 of its Code of Ordinances and Resolutions,
.which provides for planning and zoning provisions and procedures,
and
WHEREAS, according to the Comprehensive Planning and
Zoning Map adopted by the Kodiak Island Borough, the surveys have
,been zoned Conservation and

WHEREAS, a Petition has been received from the City of f
Kodiak requesting same be rezoned from Conservation to Industrial
to allow for Development of the area and,

i , the Petition was considered and approved by
ithe Planning and Zoning Commission on the 21st day of March, 1973 r
lafter a public hearing was held thereon and said body has I

i !' recommended the reclassification of said property to Industrial
and no objections were voiced at the public hearing held by the
Planning and Zoning Commission, and it having been determined
that the public necessity, convenience and good zoning practice
require such reclassification,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Assembly
Of the Kodiak Island Borough that the property described as:
That portion of U. S. Survey 1673 and U. S. Survey
2539, which lies seaward of the Base /Town Road

Be' and the same is hereby reclassified as Industrial
ind that notice of this Ordinance be given by publication in
:he Kodiak Mirror seven (7) days prior to the second reading

expiration of thirty (30) days after its adoption.
