ORDINANCE NUMBER 73 -9-0
AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
REZONING TRACTS "B" AND "D ", OF U. S. SURVEY 1672, FROM CONSERVA-
TION TO UNCLASSIFIED.
WHEREAS, AS 29.33.090 empowers the Borough to enact
a Zoning Ordinance and provide for its administration, enforce-
ment and amendment, and

WHEREAS, The Kodiak Island Borough has pursuant thereto
adopted Chapter 5 of its Code of Ordinances and Resolutions,
which provides for planning zoning provisions and procedures,
and,
WHEREAS, according to the Comprehensive Plan, all
!land not specifically zoned is classified Conservation and,
l WHEREAS, a Petition has been received from Okey Chandler,

;stating that he is the owner of Tracts "B" and "D ", U. S. Survey 1
i
1672, and asking that the same be rezoned from Conservation to
I
"Unclassified. The Planning and Zoning Commission held a public
,;hearing on March 12, 1973, and no objections were voiced to this
;Irezoning, and after the Public Hearing, the Commission determined
that the public necessity, convenience and good zoning practice I
i I
required the reclassification of said tracts from Conservation
I
Into Unclassified. j

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Assembly
of the Kodiak Island Borough that the property known and described

Tracts "B" and "D ", of U. S. Survey 1672

Now classified as Conservation, be and the same is

Thereby reclassified as Unclassified, and that a public hearing on
;this Ordinance be given in the Kodiak Mirror, Seven (7) days
.prior to the second reading and that a public hearing be held there!
ion the date of said second reading and this Ordinance become
effective thirty (30) days after its Passage and Approval.
